SOUTHERN LOCAL FINALLY OPENS THE SEASON WITH A WIN AGAINST UNITED


Southern Local finally opened the season after the district decided to play again and downed United, 57-46, Saturday night. 

 

Brock Smalley led the Indians with a game-high 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists. 

 

Sam May totaled 12 points, six steals and three assists. James Burris added seven points, Brady Ketchum eight rebounds, four steals and three assists, Bradly Sloan seven rebounds and two blocks and Josh Pratt five steals. 

 

Keaton Baker topped United with 14 points. Nate Miller followed with eight points. 

 

United won the junior varsity game, 36-31. For Southern, Jason Riggs had 13 points and Cooper Edmiston 11. 

 

Both teams return to action Tuesday as Southern travels to Toronto and United goes to Wellsville.

UNITED: 19-11- 4-12-46
