SLHS Drama Club Musical Postponed

SALINEVILLE-The public has a chance to get in on the fun during Southern Local High School’s interactive spring musical “Mad Libs Live!”

The SLHS Drama Club postponed their production in April and performances are now slated for May 7-8. “Mad Libs Live!” will be staged in the high school gym at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets will be sold at that time for $5 and the play is open to a limited public audience to meet COVID guidelines.

The story follows four high school students attempting to win a singing competition, but they must rely on the audience to provide words for their unfinished songs. The cast includes seniors Mackenzey Infanti and Bradly Sloan and juniors Ronni Mayfield and Marissa Stewart while sophomore members will act as competition announcers and eighth-graders and freshmen are judges. Students will also help audience members with their word cards and assist with the set, sound and show and the production is directed by SLHS band director Emily Forbes Bowling.
