SALINEVILLE- Southern Local High School senior Katie Calderon has been chosen as the Salineville Kiwanis Student of the Month for May.
Calderon, the daughter of Dennis Bowers and Karla Calderon of East Liverpool, has demonstrated exemplary academic and athletic achievement throughout her high school career. She holds a 4.03 GPA and is ranked 17th in her graduating class, plus she is a first-year letter winner in golf and earned All-EOAC Golfer this year, has served as Spanish Club president for three years and has been a member of the student council. In addition, she will graduate with an honors diploma this spring.
She plans to attend Youngstown State University to major in nursing.
