Hall of Fame Inductees

James "Jim" Brown, Contributor

James "Jim" Brown is being inducted as a contributor. Jim coached at a variety of positions and varying age groups from 2000 to 2010. Jim began his time as a volunteer in 2000 with fifth and sixth grade basketball. Jim progressed to seventh grad basketball coach, then eighth grade coach, JV coach, Junior High football coach, varsity defensive back coach, assistant varsity football coach. In 2009, Jim was the varsity football coach. From 2011 to 2014, Jim scouted for the varsity basketball program. Besides coaching, Jim helped with the little league baseball, 3 on 3 tournaments, cub scouts, equipment and injuries for the Junior High football. Jim was of the Athletic Booster and served as vice-president for several years. He is a member of the Hall of Fame committee.

Jean Morgan Harsh, Athlete (Class of 1980)

Jean Morgan Harsh is being inducted as a three sport athlete. Jean earned eight varsity letters - four in track, two in volleyball, and two in basketball. In track, Jean was on the mile relay team that set a school record of 4:40:1; the 800 medley relay team that set the record of 2:03.3; ran the 440 in a record setting time of 1:06.5. Jean helped lead the team to a Tri-County Championship and the Columbiana County Runner-up in 1979. Jean qualified for Districts two years. As a member of the volleyball team, Jean helped the team to two Tri-County Championships, two Sectional Championships, one District Championship, one District Runner-up, and one Regional Runner-up. Jean was the captain her senior year. On the basketball team, Jean contributed to the team being Tri-County Champs twice, Sectional Champs twice, and District Champs twice.

Cynthia Pelley, Athlete (Class of 1981) (posthumously)

Cynthia "Cindy" Jo Pelley's athletic career included volleyball, basketball and track & field. In track & field, Cindy set the school record for girl's shot put her Junior year with 31'8". Senior year, Cindy also set a TCL record with 32'2". Cindy was a two-time Sectional Champion in shot put. Her senior year, Cindy was TCL girls' shot put champion. Cindy was an integral part in volleyball in winning back-to-back TCL championships. In basketball, Cindy helped her team win a TCL co-championship her senior year while earning 2n Team All County honors.

James "Jim" West, Athlete (Class of 1989) (posthumously)

James "Jim" West is being inducted as a two sport athlete. Jim ran track his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. Junior year, Jim qualified for the Regionals for his skill in the shot put. Jim played football his junior and senior years. As a senior, Jim was captain of the football team. During his senior year, Jim was a leading scorer in the county. Jim had 10 touchdowns and two two-point conversions for a total of 64 points. Jim was a county leader in yards rushing with over 735 yards in seven games and almost 900 yards for the season. Jim was named 1st Team Tri-County League Offense, 2nd Team TCL Defense; and Special Mention Honoree All-District Division IV. Jim was an Evening Review Player of the Week for his performance in the Toronto game. Jim rushed 215 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns and a 2-point conversion.
